Activity
The STEAM Challenge
Pose the following scenario:
Your school has asked your class to design a sculpture for a newly refurbished courtyard space. They have requested that the sculpture be unusual and use movement as a theme.
Not all designs need to have a useful purpose; some things exist just to look interesting or to be entertaining. Kinetic sculptures like windballs are large creations that move in the wind and look appealing in a space.
With this in mind, use your Makedo tools and connectors and upcycled cardboard to create a large kinetic sculpture.
Your Goal
Use Makedo tools and connectors and upcycled cardboard to create a large kinetic sculpture.
Your Role
You are an artist or designer who works with upcycled cardboard.
Your Audience
People at your school who enjoy unusual art.
The Scenario
People are interested in large sculptural forms that showcase movement as a feature.
The Product
The product will be a moving sculpture powered by the wind.
