Beyond the Banana Piano
One classroom took the classic Makey Makey piano and turned it into a full band. Using Makedo, Makey Makey, and Scratch, students built keyboards, guitars, drum kits, and more! They then used Scratch to find sounds and map them to each key.
The result? As one parent put it: "The kids were HYPED!"
We love how the classic Makey Makey piano became a jumping-off point for a room full of cardboard musicians. Watch the video below to see some of the making process, and hear the first sounds that came out of these novel DIY instruments.
